Eat Your Heart Out - It's 1985 and you're a 13 year old girl - what would you do to meet Bob Geldof back stage at Live Aid?
The latest novel, Eat Your Heart Out is more of the same from Random Shorts and finally makes use of my excruciating, embarrassing and hilarious schoolgirl diaries, having lugged them around with me for my entire adult life in fear of them finding their way back out of the rubbish bin, like the last time I tried to throw them out.
Whilst the events and characters are fictional, some passages are verbatim from the diary of yours truly, aged 13, but I'm not saying which.
Playing With Scorpions was the first novel: I tried my hand at the aching literary masterpiece – ten chapters of which can be seen on this website. I missed my good friend serotonin.
Instead, I found myself writing funnyRandom Shorts inspired by the stuff nobody else bothers about, and with which I appear to have an affinity. Hence the caption, "life without the gloss."
LATEST NEWS Two short stories from Random Shorts now appear in the anthology Summer Shorts, published by Endaxi Press. Available through Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com
